Cala Mesquida

We will continue our way through the famous Majorcan beaches that can be found at a reasonable distance from the city of Palma, for those of you who really enjoy discovering more and getting off the beaten track.

Where?

This wonderful place is located in the eastern part of the island of Mallorca and has lots of dunes and pine trees which lie on the beach of Cala Mesquida. Located only at 7 km from the town of Capdepera, whose area has become a tourist center of first quality where you can enjoy a quiet holiday of sun and sea.

A little bit about the zone

Cala Mesquida holds the declaration of a Natural Area of ??Special Interest (ANEI) since 1991 for its valuable ecosystem, in which the vegetation of mastic and pine trees coexist with one of the largest colonies of gulls and cormorants in the Balearic Islands.

Moreover, in Cala Mesquida it is possible to make excursions to other nearby beaches and visit historical enclaves such as the Castle of Capdepera and the Talayotic town “Ses Païses d’Artà“, or the beautiful caves of Artà and Drach, about which we talked in a previous article. Therefore, it represents a good opportunity to spend 24h admiring the beautifulness of the area.
