The island of Mallorca is celebrated for many things but of course, among the foremost attractions there are the fabulous and plentiful Mediterranean beaches. One of them is Can Picafort. With its blue flag beach, the northern coast of Mallorcan resort named Can Picafort is the perfect place for an amazing family holiday. Especially in the summer season!! Situated 10km away from Alcudia in the north of Mallorca, Can Picafort is a very busy but beautiful long expanse of soft white sand and clear blue waters. A heaven!
Starting out as a local fishing community, as many Spanish holiday resort, C’an Picafort today is laid back, friendly and cheerfully modest still. The compact size of C’an Picafort only adds to its attraction and although the super sandy beach enjoys a long and languid stretch of over 2 klms, the actual resort is fairly tiny. But who cares? You don’t have to be in a huge place to get a relaxing day at the beach, a beer or ice-cream, though – the palm-lined promenade serves up everything you need. Also, shops, bars and restaurants line up along the palm-lined prom, which gives way to an endless stretch of pearly white shore. Amazing, right?
When it comes to activities, well.. you must know that the long stretch of fine sand and shallow sea leaves plenty of room for watersports – you can either take a leisurely ride on a pedalo or ramp up the speed with some water-skiing. Sounds like – the best from both worlds!
As some good examples, the long promenade in the resort is a fun place to see and be seen for walkers, cyclists and roller bladers, while the fun activities on water are also popular such as go-karting, pedal boats and inflatable rides. So, whatever you’ll choose to do, here is possible! Everything it is truly relaxing – you know you’re on holiday when you’re in Can Picafort, it’s so chilled out!
